Abel is a social scientist with 20yrs of work experience in leading and managing development programs in the sectors of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH); Health, Education; Agriculture and Food Security. He has accumulated a wealth of experience in strategic and operations management including nurturing strategic partnerships from both private and public sectors. He has worked for WaterAid Tanzania in the capacities of Director of Technical Services, Director of Programmes and Director Strategic Support. He has also worked with ICAP – Columbia University; ActionAid International and the Government of Tanzania as a Regional Programme Manager; National Coordinator for Impact Assessment and Shared Learning and community development officer respectively. He is currently an Executive Director for SwM Tanzania, exclusively dedicated on Water resources management – working in collaboration with the Government and other development partners to address water insecurity issues for sustainable development, focusing on Policy research and advocacy, sector strengthening; climate resilience, water stewardships and social accountability monitoring.
